So what have I been up to lately? First off, making sure to spend time with my friend for her 23rd birthday!! We're getting old... :]

lets just say that we had WAYYYY to much fun!!

I did pretty bad during the week with working out. I'll just blame that on the monthly. I kicked it back into gear Friday. I went for a run before it's going to be raining all weekend. It was just a little 1.5 miles. After I did a leg workout outside then came inside for an arm workout. I cannot wait to get stronger!!

Today I woke up knowing that I wanted to do strength training. I wanted to try things that I've seen really strong people do, that I'm afraid of. Deadlifts for one...I went in the gym and tried to avoid it because there were really heavy weights on it already. Did some other things around the gym keeping my heart rate up. Finally made my way to the deadlift bar. I looked and noticed that I think those weights were supposed to be on there already...I'm not sure. So I left them on. They were 45 pounds on each side. I went for it...and I did it. Only 5 reps, but thats 5 more than I've done before. I did some other leg, arm, and ab workouts then headed to the treadmill for an easy 1-mile shake out run. I came home with tons of energy. Drew hates me for it...haha.

There's this video that I've watched almost everyday since I've seen it. It is very motivational to me and really its what I want to see out of myself. I know I can do it if I am determined. I wanted to share with everyone. YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS VIDEO NOW!!!!

Please invite your blog readers to add their links here too so everyone has to opportunity to be seen. The idea is to connect with other awesome bloggers so take a moment to post your own FMM post and comment on a couple of other posts. Now it’s time for this week’s topic!

Fall Favorites

1. What is your favorite thing about this time of year?
My favorite thing about this time of year is the holidays of course. I love the cool air, being able to wear jeans comfortably, and staying in and getting cozy with Andrew.

2. What do you hope to do again before Summer is officially over?
Before Summer is over, I wished we could have went tubing one more time...but not sure if thats in the cards.

3. When did you last go on a hay ride?
The last time I went on a hayride was a couple of haloweens ago. It was scary, in the woods, and the actors got all in your face....literally.

4. What is your favorite pumpkin dish?
I can't say that I've really tried anything pumpkin except pumpkin seeds. I'm very picky with my dessert, and what I mean by that is if it's not chocolate, I'm not eating it.

5. Do you decorate your home for fall?
I would but my dogs like to tear everything up that I buy. So I am waiting until we move into a place with a backyard to start doing things like that again.

6. Do you have any hobbies that are seasonally specific? If so, what are they?
I don't have any hobbies that are season specific. I think all my hobbies can be done at any time of the year.

7. Apple cider or hot chocolate?
Okay, I know earlier I said anything chocolate...but I actually dislike hot chocolate...and coffee...and I don't think I've ever tried apple cider.

8. Are you a fan of football? If so, who is your team?
I am a fan of football. I love the Texas Longhorns and I still have to give credit to my Dallas Cowboys. I also grew up watching Green Bay alot.

9. Share a fond Fall memory.
My favorite fall memory is all the parties we used to throw in the fall. I loved parties that were in the fall and winter because you know when you get drunk you normally get too hot, but when its fall its okay to be outside and drinking.

10. It’s not Fall until
I buy a fall scent candle, make a soup or chili, and can wear a jacket.

Weekend Recap and PR!!

This weekend seemed to go pretty fast. Probably because last week I had a 5 day weekend and fell in love with it. :] But tomorrow, it's back to work....already.

Thursday I went to the gym. I told ya'll I fell in love with working out again. I love to love working out. I ended up doing a circuit-type workout. But before anything I wanted to see how fast I could run a mile and see if it's improved. And watch out folks...my new 1 mile PR is 8:43. I never thought I could get under 9:30 let anone another minute on top of that. I was soooo happy afterwards. I kept working out and stayed on the treadmill a little longer followed by abs, arms, and leg workout.

Friday afterwork, my best friend Angela came over. We hung out at my house for a while then headed to Taco Cabana for some food and margaritas. It was happy hour, so margaritas were only $1.50 each. WHAT WHAT. Afterwards, Drew and I headed to our friends, Gabriel and Vicky's. We had plans to drink a little but just wasnt quite in the mood. Good thing because I wanted to really workout hard the next day.

Saturday I woke up right on time for Crossfit. It was a crazy good workout. I am actually bearly able to move right now. I thought I had done enough working out of my legs these past weeks that there was no way I'd be sore....but I am...Im actually thinking maybe I pulled something in my legs...ughhh...great. I went home and made a green smoothie then hunny and I took both our cars to the car wash. I wanted to stay active and washing and vacuuming your car is a great way to do that. We drove around town showing off drews baby...the sex is female...yes Drew says things about his car like...."isn't she a beauty"...he loves his car so much. We stopped at Specs to get a bottle for later that night then went to HomeSlice. If you live in Austin and have never been here, you NEED to go now. Its a keep-austin-weird pizza place located off Congress. The place was packed but we were able to sit down right away because we choose to sit at the bar. I got a lonestar and drew got a shiner. We ordered the Medium - sausage, pepperoni, and onion pizza and not only was it ridiculously huge, it was damn good too. I was gonna stop at one slice but it just didnt make any sense at the time because the pizza was yummmmmo. So I had two. Afterwards we headed back to Gabriel and Vickys where we made a fire in the bbq pit outside for visual purposes only...No meat was being cooked we just wanted a fire for some reason. So we sat outside and enjoyed our alcohol. Great Night.

Today was a verrry weird Sunday. Drew and I slept in until 1. We NEVER do that. We try...but we always end up waking up by 9. So it was very weird waking up in the middle of the day but very much needed. I took the dogs outside for long walks. I had to take them seperately because...well if you know my dogs, you'd know 1 person, plus walking my 2 dogs, equals impossible. I gave them baths when we got back and then Drew ordered a ginormous amount of food for papa johns... I asked him if we were having a football party or something. He ordered a large 5 topping pizza, chicken wings, 6 cheese cheesesticks and soda. We started off eating the chicken wings and cheese sticks and we were full....didn't even touch the pizza. Guess I dont have to worry about dinner tomorrow.

How was your weekend?

Whats your favorite pizza place?

Do you have more than one dog to walk? And do you have to walk them at different times?

I don't know whats gotten into me lately but I've been really into strength training. I'm loving going to the gym again. I'm also working on getting my speed up in running. I've been pushing it on the treadmill. I just love to sweat lately. And I cannot wait until it starts cooling down here in Texas. I cannot wait to go outside for long runs...because really I HATE the TREADMILL. It's sooo boring.

Also, next weekend is my first mudrun. The Austin Outlaw Dash! I am soooo excited for it. And this will be the first race that my love Andrew will be attending. No he is not running with me, but yes he is taking me and will be there to support me. I'll post a recap about it when the time comes.

Oh the joy

Looky at what I got to wake up to this morning!!!
Isn't that soooo awesome. $155 to repair...not too bad. But I also have to go get my car inspected today. I'm still trying to figure out why someone would do this...It's probably the old man that I cut off last week. I know he followed me home. haha. No, but seriously I have no idea why my car was singled out.

So I was looking at a couple of pictures and found some oldie but goodies.

My brother and SIL had some wedding pictures taken in front of here. But because I love pictures of myself I stole the spotlight a couple of times....

This was not too long ago but seems like it because it's so weird to see a cigarette in my hand. I am now officially 19 days without a cigarette. Woot woot. Almost a month.

Texas Round Up! I remember being so hungover that day. It was one of my hardest races. I was also still smoking. But it was the day I hit my 5k PR 29:37.

Well I have to get ready to leave work and spend all my money on getting my back windsheild replaced. Lucky me!
